- First, I have worked as a stores officer in an educational and health setup. Though these two institutions vary in terms of sector, I performed almost similar roles in these institutions. I was responsible for issuing and receiving books and educational supplies to students and workers. I also performed inventory taking and control through application certain basic stores techniques. I maintained stores levels in line with demand. I also prepare reports when necessary. Responsible for managing and training two subordinates who function under me. All these activities were performed in line with the standard operating procedures of the institution. I acquired skills such as; Competitive Analysis, Management Proficiency, Creative Services, Supply Management, Customer Service, Presentation Skills, Analyzing , Basic Safety, Customer Care, Verbal Communication Also i worked as a teaching/research assistant in the subject area of supply chain management at Koforidua Technical University. This enabled me to appreciate the connection between practice and theory.

- Training comprises of both classroom work and field work. In terms of classroom training, the candidate was taught various concepts across several disciplines including Supply Chain Management, Strategic Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Financial Management, statistics and so on. This form of training enabled me understand the various concepts properly. To complement the classroom work, I also had the opportunity to attend several seminars, industrial trips and industrial attachment to enrich my hands-on-practical knowledge in order to complement the theories and concepts taught in the classroom. At GIMPA, we were also made to articulate an industry-based problem, visit the industry to gather data, analyze the data, come-up with findings and innovative recommendations to curb the problem. This enabled me understand the connection between theory and practice. It has also improved my ability to conduct an independent research on a company or in an industry to bring about a change.
