Search and rescue operations at any time and during all types of weather and sea conditions. Respond and provide assistance to mariners in distress or need of assistance. Conduct rescue services covering incidents such as vessel on fire, vessel aground, vessel disabled and broken down, vessel taking on water, vessel capsized, vessel lost in the fog and person overboard and medical emergencies. Employed as Electrical Engineer responsible for installation and maintenance of navigational aids (lanterns, solar arrays, beacons and mooring system) in our territorial waters. Installation & maintenance of mechanical & electrical equipment. Later promoted to Maritime Safety Supervisor. Responsible for the survey and inspection of motor vessels plying our waters i.e. ships and trawlers, ferries, etc. check their engines for seaworthiness. Also as a certified marine accident investigator responsible to investigate ships accident.
